LOCAL RADIO IN A CAMBODIAN
CONTEXT
|
|
Excerpt from a paper, submitted by student Hay
Pharrin:
Most of the content of the program I raised are
call-in and letters because I think most of the
Cambodians are familiar with that kind of
content. They could have direct interaction with
the guest, and government officials. When they
have questions, they can ask the concerned
people. Moreover, people in the province, that is
the majority of the people, has no phone, they
can write letters to stations.
In fact, I am so interested in radio documentary,
but I am afraid that the Cambodians are not
familiar to it rather than to radio drama. I
think, the latter is more effective because most
Cambodians are familiar to it, and they like it
very much.
