Elsa
has been living in Zimbabwe since 1985.
She is a graduate social worker. Together with her friend
Mavis, a primary school teacher, she initiates projects
for children.
A women's club in Domboshava, 25 km north of Zimbabwe's capital Harare, received not only sewing machines but also a building and equipment for a pre-school.
Only some kilometres away, in Chogogudza, another pre-school was built, the walls were prepared for the childrens' paintings with the assistance of Titus Nyakuda and Ada Geiling, a German artist.
Gideon, who helped the children of Chogogudza to paint their own pictures, admires the results.
The children of Chogogudza will be well prepared for life at school.
And in Gideon's home area, in Chikupo, some 120 km away, these children got a similar chance.
