An African Woman And Her Business
Eine afrikanische Frau und ihr Geschäft

Rebecca Enonchong, chief executive officer of application service provider (ASP) AppsTech has been named one of this year's 100 young leaders for the World Economic Forum's annual Global Leaders for Tomorrow program's class of 2002.

Enonchong is the first Cameroonian, as well as one of the few Africans, to receive this title honoring individuals who have achieved a position of considerable influence and responsibility in the world.

"In the twenty-first century economic paradigm geographical borders are vanishing and unique opportunities for economic advancement are presenting themselves as never before. It was with this in mind that the Africa Technology Forum, a not-for-profit organization, was founded. It was the intention of the founders that the forum act as a magnet for African entrepreneurs and companies with interests in Africa to network, exchange new ideas and form bonds that would serve as the building blocks for a new generation of thinking and entrepreneurship."
