I am here!
You
know, as much as I have liked to travel
by train, curiosity to find out about the
destination has always been greater, even
if this destination turned out to be only
another intermediate station again
like this German school-building, for
example, replacing an African railway
station during another African night
I thought we may have escaped those
voices from the trains public
address system, they may have stayed on
the train
Well,
comrade Trotsky, didnt you tell us
yourself about that most efficient
communication-system you had on your
revolutionary train?
CONTROL! REPLAY, PLEASE!
The train was always informed
about the on-goings in the world; and
above all, the carriages were connected
with each other through internal
telephone- and signal devices.
So,
you couldnt really believe, our
communication devices would be inferior?
As you know, we are pulling a couple of
special wagons with us, some are of a
rusty colour, some will have different
colours and forms, depending on the type
of tracks that we reach through our
history-tunnels. Imagine this school here
as a special wagon, and it is of
course as such part of our
communication network.
As you know, comrade Trotsky: trust,
but verify a word used by
your comrade Lenin! ...
But we asked because of Sartre ...
Well Sartre gave me the
advice to read Frantz Fanons The
Wretched of the Earth.
This schools library seems to be
well equipped. I allowed myself to look
for this book; I found it and a quote
from it that seems to fit our dispute.

Let us leave Europe that does not stop to
talk about humans but slaughters them
wherever it is meeting them, at the
corners of its own streets, at all
corners of the world. Europe has for
centuries blocked progress of other
peoples to its own benefit, has
subjugated them to its own glory; for
centuries it has suffocated great parts
of the worlds population in the
name of its alleged intellectual
adventure.
Thus, my comrades in arms, let us not pay
tribute to Europe by founding states,
institutions and societies that are
inspired by it.

There exists another relation to France:
Albert Schweitzers great-nephew,
Louis Schweitzer, CEO of the French car
producer RENAULT
and we have
discovered an interesting connection with
the next NOBEL PEACE LAUREATE whose
I we were supposed to
research as well.
The name of RENAULTs CEO, Louis
Schweitzer, is appearing on a list of
participants of a global meeting of
top-politicians, business- and
media-bosses that takes place annually
since 1954 in strictest secrecy. We found
his name on a list of the meeting, that
took place in 2002, from 30th of May to
2nd of June, in Chantilly, Virginia,
U.S.A.. One topic of this conference was
the question how world opinion could be
manipulated to accept a second war in
Iraq in order to topple the Head of this
state, Saddam Hussein.
On this list, we found the name of Henry
Kissinger as well. He is one of the
permanent organisers of the
BILDERBERG-CONFERENCE ...

This weekend, in a luxury hotel
outside Washington, D.C.. Europes
secret rulers are meeting their
American counterparts or thats
what some people believe. Today
is the start of the annual
gathering of the Bilderberg
group. Never heard of it? Thats
the whole point. Its
officially described as a private
gathering, but with a guest list
including the heads of European
and American corporations,
political leaders and a few
intellectuals; its one of
the most influential
organizations on the planet.
BBC reporter Bill Hayton called
the hotel looking for information
about the conference. His
conversation is broadcast on his
report.
Executive Office.
My name is Bill Hayton from
BBC World Service. I just wanted
to check, theres some kind
of big event happening at your
hotel this weekend. Could you
tell me what it is?
Theres a couple of
weddings...
But theres also a big
conference going on as well.
Not that Im aware of.
Theres nothing being
organized by the Bilderberg group
then?
Im sorry. Who?
The Bilderberg group.
I dont even know who
they are. ...

The radio report continued by listing
several people who were to have attended
this conference: the chairmen of ABB,
France Telecom, ENI and Deutsche Bank,
plus several European commissioners,
central bankers, newspaper editors, the
secretary-general of NATO and the queens
of Spain and the Netherlands.
British journalist Jon Ronson, who is the
author of a book on Bilderberg, was
quoted in the BBC report.
Im
a sort of semi-conspiracy
theorist when it
comes to Bilderberg because I
think they wouldnt go to
that much trouble of having this
incredibly expensive
international conference every
year and theyd go to all
this trouble to keep themselves
out of the press and be really
secret and invite the worlds
most powerful people if it was
just a chat and a game of golf,
which is basically what they say
it is. So I do think they have
some impact on world affairs, but
I don't think they have as much
of an impact.

The Bilderberg Group: global
conspiracy or force for good?
Exclusive BBC interview reveals
the answers
Category: World Service - date:
27.09.2005
Secrets of the Bilderberg Group
the shadowy gathering of
top Western politicians, business
leaders, bankers and others that
meets behind closed doors once a
year to discuss world events
have been revealed in an
exclusive BBC interview with its
chairman.
Etienne Davignon, 73 a
former Belgian diplomat and
European Commissioner and now
businessman dismissed
claims that the Bilderberg Group
is part of a global conspiracy to
rule the world by a self-selected
elite of movers and shakers.
When people say this is a
secret government of the world, I
say that if we were a secret
government of the world we should
be bloody ashamed of ourselves,
he tells Bill Hayton in a rare
interview, to be broadcast on
29th September as part of the
Who Runs Your World?
serial extending across BBC World
Service, BBC World television and
online.
I dont think (we are)
a global ruling class because I
dont think a global ruling
class exists. I simply think its
people who have influence
interested to speak to other
people who have influence.
Bilderberg does not try to reach
conclusions it does not
try to say What we should
do
everyone goes
away with their own feeling and
that allows the debate to be
completely open, quite frank
and to see what the
differences are. Business
influences society and politics
influences society thats
purely common sense. Its
not that business contests the
right of democratically elected
leaders to lead.
Asked about the secrecy
surrounding the Group, he said:
Two reasons why its
not an open discussion we
want it to be free and we want
people to speak for the topic,
not for outside. And as there are
no conclusions, we cant
publish them.
On allegations of a conspiracy,
he added: It is unavoidable
and it doesnt matter. There
will always be people who believe
in conspiracies: things happen in
a much more incoherent fashion.
So what is the point of
Bilderberg in a chaotic world?
To be as useful as one can.
Its a modest agenda.
Asked if the Group ever reached
general agreement on issues,
Davignon said: Not really
the problems we deal with
are of a general nature and dont
adjust to simple answers. What
can come out is that its
not wrong to try to deal with a
problem and that you should go
home and encourage people not to
leave the problem on the table.
But a real consensus, an action
plan with a one, two, three? The
answer is no. People are much too
sensible to believe they can do
that.
Lifting the veil of secrecy
around deciding what is discussed
and who is invited to attend
Bilderberg meetings, he said:
There are no permanent
members but a small
steering committee tries to
decide issues of joint interest
to Europeans and Americans. And
we have to have enough people who
have never been to Bilderberg
before so you keep a momentum and
not simply have an old boys
club and enough people who
have been before who understand
the format: that you speak
shortly, you speak your mind and
that nothing will ever be quoted.
You (also) try to look at people
who would be interested (in
attending) in relation to their
own ambition to share thoughts
with others. And then, by happy
accident, you invite people who
go to great places but
then you also invite people who
go nowhere.
Asked for examples of how a
discussion at Bilderberg had
helped end a blockage on an
international issue, Davignon
said that over Iraq, Relations
between some European countries
were not the best in the world
(but) the fact that the
business community felt they
would not be distracted from
their long-term strategy in
relation to this was a useful
element.
